Candidates Gone Wild

Volunteer

Candidates Gone Wild embraces volunteers in a big monkey love hug. From start to finish, Candidates Gone Wild is a volunteer run effort. (Often powered by beer.) How can you Go Wild with the rest of us? Make a movie, hang posters, interview voters, register voters, help get the word out . . . There are many ways, big and small, to help make our 2008 events a success.

Top 8 Reasons to Go Wild as a Volunteer

8. You have mad skills (in lighting, sound, production, movie making, candidate interviewing, or wtf-else).

7. You have a serious crush on someone at the Bus Project.

6. You know this is the ONLY way to get your pitch for a damn fine article in some WW editor’s hands.

5. You had so much fun last time, you really kind of owe it to us.

4. You’re an aspiring event planner and THIS is an event in need of planning.

3. Fresh out of South Dakota and not a friend in the world, what else are you doing?

2. You ordered the other Gone Wild videos and they weren’t what you expected.

1. The force is great in you, O, civic participant.

In addition to the massive volunteer energy that goes into months of planning this event, we need about 50 volunteers to pitch in on the night of the event, October 13, in the following roles:

  • Ticket sellers
  • Ticket takers and hand stampers
  • Backstage managers
  • Sign up volunteers for Get Out the Vote efforts
  • Crowd control
  • Register voters
  • Clean up
  • Talk to people in line
